Write It Down
But then I recall all you have done, O LORD; I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago. Psalm 77:11
The psalmist acknowledges the power of remembrance, stating, “I will remember the deeds of the LORD.” This act of recalling God’s past interventions is not just a mental exercise; it is an intentional act of faith and trust in God’s character. When we remember how God has delivered us in the past, we gain the assurance that He is the same faithful God who will guide us through our current struggles. The psalmist goes further, declaring, “I will remember your miracles of long ago.” Remembering God’s miracles of the past strengthens our hope and confidence in His ability to work wonders in our present circumstances.
Taking time to meditate on God’s mighty acts fosters a deeper understanding of His character and His heart for His children. Through meditation, we gain insight into the ways God works, the wisdom behind His actions, and His unwavering love for us.
In times of difficulty, it is easy to forget God’s faithfulness amid the storm. However, the practice of remembrance enables us to shift our focus from our circumstances to the One who holds our future. As you face challenges and uncertainties, take intentional steps to remember God’s wonders. Look back at the testimonies of His faithfulness in your life and in the lives of others. Consider His mighty deeds recorded in Scripture, and meditate on His promises that never fail.
Today, take a moment to remember God’s miracles of the past and thank Him for His constant presence in your life. Trust in His unfailing love and find peace in knowing that He is working behind the scenes, bringing about a beautiful and purposeful outcome.
Prayer for today: Thank you Lord, for Your faithfulness and countless wonders You have performed throughout Your word and in the lives of Your people. Teach me to meditate on Your mighty deeds, so I may gain a deeper understanding of Your ways. May Your love and presence anchor my soul, guiding me through every trial. Amen.
