When the Internet Goes Down
Nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God. Romans 8:39
‘Sorry, our computer system is down’ is one of the most frustrating things about modern life. You cannot check in at your doctor’s office when the internet goes down. Your flight is delayed because, the internet is down. You are typing up your final paper and suddenly the internet connection goes down. It always seems to go down when you’re in the middle of something important. Thank God for the wisdom He has given IT techies who can help us to re-connect.
Praise God that there’s never that problem of no connection with God. All you need to do is call on Him and just like that He is there waiting to hear from you. In Paul’s letter to the Romans, quoted above, assures us that there’s never a disconnection from the love of God. Love comes from God, and He won’t pull the plug, no matter what our circumstances. ‘Nothing can ever separate us from the love of God’ (Romans 8:38).
‘For I am certain that nothing can separate us from his love: neither death nor life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers or powers, neither the present nor the future, neither the world above nor the world below—there is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord.’ (Romans 8:38-39).
No matter what goes on here on earth, God’s love for you and me is eternal and unbreakable.
