When It Looks Like It’s Over, God Comes Through Again
As Pharaoh approached, the people of Israel looked up and panicked when they saw the Egyptians overtaking them. They cried out to the Lord. Exodus 14:10
In Exodus 14:21-22 we read “Then Moses raised his hand over the sea, and the Lord opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind. The wind blew all that night, turning the seabed into dry land. So the people of Israel walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on each side!” After God told Moses to stretch out his hand over the sea, something miraculous happened: the waters were divided, and the Israelites walked through the sea on dry ground. It wasn’t just a temporary escape or a one-time solution. This moment in history marks the beginning of a new chapter in God’s relationship with His people. He made a way where there was no way, and this victory became a testimony of His power and faithfulness to generations to come.
As you recall this account in Exodus chapter 14, understand that God’s way is clear, even in the midst of chaos. The Israelites were not walking in fear or confusion; the waters were divided, and they walked on dry ground with a clear path before them. It may have looked chaotic from the outside — walls of water on either side — but in God’s plan, everything was perfectly ordered. In our own lives, even when the storm around us seems chaotic and confusing, God provides a clear path forward. His ways are always higher than ours, and though the journey may look uncertain, trust and believe that He will always lead us through.
Prayer for today: Lord, thank You for the reminder that You are the God who makes a way — not just once, but again and again. We trust that You will continue to provide and guide us through every obstacle and challenge in our lives. Amen
