What do you expect?
Now unto Him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the Power that worketh in us. Ephesians 3:20
Did you come here expecting to hear from God today? Do you expect to see him working in your life? Do you expect Him to answer, to move, to deliver? What are you expecting from the One who holds the whole universe in His hand?
I’ve figured out, 85% of the time, God doesn’t work the way I think he should work. Hey, if God would have listened to me … well I would have totally missed out on some of life’s sweetest surprises and greatest lessons. Instead, God has worked on His time and in doing so has made me perfect. And God’s definition of perfect is different from the world’s definition.
You see, God’s ways are different from our own. God does not make perfect without using pressure. He doesn’t make diamonds without pressure and heat, and He doesn’t make seeds grow without first having them buried deep into the ground. We are made perfect in God’s precious timing. God’s perfect timing grows our faith as we are forced to wait and trust in God.
So what can you expect? At the right time, God will provide for your needs. At the right time, God will deliver you. At the right time, God will rescue you.
