Walking Prayer
Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear. Isaiah 65:24
Desperate people pray. Needy people pray. Those with a grateful or even a heavy heart, they pray. They pray without thinking about it. They pray even if they are not sure who they’re praying to or if anyone is even listening to them pray. People living in what we may deem as uncivilized conditions pray. People going through a divorce pray. People who have children that are rebelling against authority pray. People who just got a phone call that the lab results are in and the growth is abnormal drop to their knees and cry out in prayer. Prayer is our lifeline to God the Father and should be used every day.
When we reach the end of our strength that’s when it’s time to tap into an unlimited Source. We pray instinctively, reflexively – like the way a swimmer coming up from the water for air or the child who’s lost their balance reaches for something to grab hold of – we in times of need fall to our knees and pray.
Be encouraged this morning and make prayer a part of your life. God loves you in every situation of life and that is key to everlasting peace. me.
Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and ask you to give me your Holy Spirit to help me to connect with you through prayer. Thank you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
