United in Praise

Rejoice always. 1 Thessalonians 5:16

In the book of Acts the Holy Spirit came down and empowered Gods people as they were on one according praising God. They began to praise God and as He filled them with the Holy Spirit that led to such a powerful move, allowing them to take bold and courageous steps in the name of Jesus. We too can access this move of God through the Holy Spirit when we praise.

We are living in moment and making history. Yet despite all that is going on the work of God has not stopped. God’s kingdom is growing and moving in ways never before thought imaginable.

Praise gets our focus off ourselves and back on God.  In our often “selfie” focused world, we need this constant reminder – life is not all about us.  So while the world continues to watch us, I echo the words of Bonnie Raitt ‘Let’s give them something to talk about’, lets show them God’s love. God desires our eyes be set firmly on Him, because that’s where our true hope is found.  He is worthy of our praise, no matter what we face from day to day.
