Ultimate Assurance: Trusting God’s Timing

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. Ecclesiastes 3:1

Ecclesiastes 3 is a wonderful reminder that in this life we will have seasons. Life often feels like a series of seasons—some filled with joy and abundance, others marked by waiting, loss, or change. As we step into this new year, we may find ourselves looking ahead, hoping for clarity and answers to long-held prayers. Yet, God’s Word reminds us that every season has a purpose, and nothing happens outside His divine timing.

Joseph’s story in Genesis is a testimony to God’s perfect plan. Despite years of uncertainty, betrayal, and waiting, Joseph trusted God’s timing. Eventually, God elevated him to a position where he could save his family and an entire nation. What seemed like delays were actually part of God’s design.

This truth is an anchor for us as we begin 2025. When we face situations that feel out of control, we can trust that God is at work behind the scenes. His timing is never early or late—it’s always right on time.

Call to Action:

Commit this year to trusting God’s timing. Start each day with prayer, surrendering your plans to Him. Remember that waiting is not wasted when God is working.

Prayer for today: Father, thank You for reminding me that Your timing is perfect. Help me to rest in the truth that You are always in control. Teach me to trust You in every season of my life, knowing that Your plans are good and full of purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
