Ultimate Assurance: Strength for the Journey
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The only has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:17
No journey is without challenges. As we walk into this new year, we may feel unprepared or unsure about what lies ahead. But the good news is that we don’t have to rely on our own strength—God’s grace is more than enough. Scripture Focus:— In 2 Corinthians 12:9 we read a comforting reminder from our Father, He says “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
Joseph’s life teaches us this lesson vividly. When he faced betrayal, false accusations, and imprisonment, he leaned on God’s presence and strength to endure. God didn’t remove the challenges immediately, but He provided the grace Joseph needed to persevere and ultimately fulfill his purpose.
In the same way, God’s grace sustains us through life’s trials. His power is made perfect in our weakness, giving us the ability to press forward even when we feel inadequate. This year, whenever you are feeling weak, take heart knowing that His strength carries us.
Call to Action:
Lean into God’s grace today. Write down a specific situation where you feel weak or uncertain, and pray for God’s strength to carry you through. How can you rely on God’s grace instead of your own strength? Are there areas where you need to surrender control and trust God more fully?
Remind yourself daily that His grace is sufficient.
Prayer for today: Lord, I thank You that Your grace is more than enough for me. In moments of weakness, remind me to lean on Your strength and not my own. Help me to trust that You are working in every situation, and give me courage to face the challenges ahead. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
