Tuesday, A Gift From God
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say rejoice. Philippians 4:4
We’ve all heard of the Monday Morning Blues, but what about Tuesday. Is there a catch phrase for Tuesday? I don’t know, but I do know God’s Word instructs us to rejoice always. In Philippians 4:4, the apostle Paul encourages us, “Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I will say, rejoice.” Rejoicing in the Lord is not limited to specific days; it is a continuous attitude of gratitude and praise. Let us carry this joyful spirit from Monday into Tuesday, knowing that the Lord is with us every step of the way.
Just as we wouldn’t wish away a birthday gift, let us not wish away the gift of a new day. Instead of wishing away the days of your life which are not the most pleasurable, let us instead approach it with a sense of purpose and determination. Let’s be the light in our workplaces and communities, showing the world the joy and hope that come from knowing Jesus Christ. Every moment of every day is an opportunity to draw closer to God and to live out His calling for our lives.
So, today, let us rejoice and be glad in this gift called Tuesday. Let’s embrace it with open hearts and open minds, ready to discover the blessings and opportunities it holds. With God by our side, we can face the week ahead with confidence, knowing that He has a plan for each day and that His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).
Remember that God sees the strength within you, and He can use you to accomplish His purpose right where you are. Don’t wait for perfect conditions or prefect days; start where you are, and trust in His guidance and strength.
Prayer for Today: Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or any other day You give me during the week. I thank You for each new day You grant me. Help me to embrace each day with gratitude and joy, knowing that You are with me always. As I face the challenges and opportunities of this week, fill my heart with Your love and wisdom. Guide me in fulfilling Your purposes and shining Your light in the world around me. May this week be a reflection of Your goodness and grace. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
