Trusting Even in the Silence
But You have seen, for You observe trouble and grief, to repay it by Your hand. The helpless commits himself to You. Psalm 10:14
You don’t need to filter your prayers. There’s power in pouring out your unspoken thoughts and bottled-up emotions. God is not just listening, He’s encouraging your heart in the process. When we get honest with God, healing begins. Let your prayers be messy, imperfect, and real. That’s exactly what God wants.
Psalm 10 ends not with full resolution, but with renewed trust. The psalmist believes that God will act, even if he hasn’t seen it yet. That’s what faith looks like, trusting in the silence, believing in the dark what God told you in the light.
Sometimes peace comes not because the storm stops, but because we finally believe God is in the boat with us.
Today I encourage you with the hymn: “Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus”
“Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him! How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er…”
Prayer for today: Dear Lord, even when I don’t see the answer, I will choose to trust You. To You oh Lord, God, I pour out everything inside of me my fears, my doubts, my questions. Thank You for listening to even the parts of me I don’t say out loud. I believe You are just, kind, and good. Strengthen my faith when it wavers, and give me peace in the waiting. Amen.
