Transform
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2
Romans 12:2 is a portion of a letter written by the Apostle Pal to the church in Rome. In this letter Paul is writing about the importance of a transformed life, through having a transformed mind. So how does one transform the mind? Through prayer. Prayer is the believer’s bread. It is our greatest privilege but—we may as well admit—our greatest failure. Prayer is vital to the believer’s life. If we transform the mind from the flesh to the spirit we must pray. If we want to have an impact on our families, our nation, and our world in these critical days, prayer is where it begins.
Constant communication is key as you come down the mountain top experience to help you hold onto what you’ve learned and maintain momentum. Always remember prayer is your lifeline. Then you want to transform the way you think.
Immediately after Jesus ascended home to Heaven, the Early Church “returned to Jerusalem…to an upper room” and “continued with one accord in prayer and supplication…” (Acts 1:12-14).
Transformation begins with a new experience and as a result you begin to not only do but to think differently. Some behavior in people’s lives may be changed for the better by human effort or strong discipline, but true transformation of the sinful heart is a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit (2 Corinthians 3:18). He causes us to become progressively more like Jesus as we surrender to Him in every part of our lives.
Prayer for today: Father, thank You that I’ve been spiritually transferred from darkness into light. I’m willing to put myself afresh into Your hands, so that I can be fully transformed. Amen.
