Thomas – From Doubt to Declaration

Unless I see… I will not believe. John 20:25, NIV

Thomas is often remembered by one word: Doubting. In the Gospel of John 20, he struggled to believe the resurrection without physical proof. His flaw? Skepticism. His mess? Honest doubt. But Jesus didn’t shame him. He invited him closer: “Put your finger here.” And Thomas responded with one of the strongest declarations in Scripture: “My Lord and my God!”

Doubt, when brought to Jesus, becomes deeper faith. Tradition holds that Thomas carried the gospel far beyond Jerusalem. The doubter became a missionary.

In this Year of Purpose, don’t hide your questions, bring them to Christ. Honest wrestling can produce unshakable conviction.

Prayer for today: Lord, meet me in my questions. Where doubt lingers, reveal Yourself. Strengthen my faith through encounters, not just information. Turn my uncertainty into a bold confession. I declare that You are my Lord and my God. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
