The Walls Will Be Rebuilt
In that day, Israel, your cities will be rebuilt, and your borders will be extended. Micah 7:11
When the prophet Micah spoke these words, the land and its people were devastated. God had not spared His beloved people from the consequences of their own choices and sins. Scripture reminds us that there is an unchangeable principle of sowing and reaping. As Paul tells the Galatians, “Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap” (Galatians 6:7). Yet even in the midst of judgment and devastation, God gave His people a promise: there would come a day when the walls would be rebuilt.
What a powerful reminder that our current circumstances do not have to be the final chapter of our story.
Trust and believe that even when things are not looking the way they should today, God still has a plan. Our mistakes may have consequences, but our failures do not change the character of God. He remains faithful. He remains merciful. He still loves His people, even when they make mistakes and have to face the consequences of their choices.
Prayer for today: Thank you, Lord, that you always have a plan for each one of our lives. Help me to see beyond the circumstances and to trust you so that there will be a new day of building walls. In Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen!
