The Unlikely Choice
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty. 1 Corinthians 1:27
Have you ever felt like the weakest link? That is what your enemy wants you to believe about. yourself. If this is you today, I’d like to remind you of the words written in 1 Corinthians 1:27 it says, “But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty.”
Many times, our enemy uses lack of confidence and fear to hold us back from reaching our full potential. In these moments we should look to the Word of God and to discover our strength. The Bible is full of unlikely heroes—Rahab the prostitute, Gideon the coward, Peter the impulsive fisherman. God delights in flipping the script. What the world calls “unusable,” He calls “chosen.” You’re not too broken, too late, or too little. You’re right on time for God’s plan.
Prayer for today: Jesus, remind me that You specialize in using the unlikely. If You can use them, You can use me. I surrender to Your plan. Amen.
