The Presence of God
I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence. Psalm 139:7
There is nothing like being in the presence of God. Each week I get to participate in corporate worship, I am reminded how amazing it is to be in the presence of God. Sometimes we talk about the presence of God, but maybe we need to talk about it less and actually go there.
Some may ask “Well how do you go into the presence of God?” How do we experience His nearness? Encountering God is similar to encountering another person. I don’t seek an experience with a friend; I simply begin by spending time with them and gain the experience as a result. I have found no better way than to just start with reading His word or you can begin with worshipping God. Find your favorite song turn it up loud and begin singing praises unto the Lord with your heart. Then you will begin to experience the presence of God in the most extraordinary way. You will begin to feel Him so near, suddenly your heart begins to cry out to Him and all the burdens on your heart are lifted. In this moment you feel so light you may fall to your knees in reverence, knowing how holy His presence is. It is in this atmosphere you experience God and the full outpouring of His encouragement in words and scriptures. Suddenly you begin to see life differently and the heavy weight you were once carrying, you carry no more. It is truly an amazing feeling!
There is beauty and blessings found in the presence of God.
God is inviting us all to come into His presence. Maybe you have never been there before. Well it’s time you did! Breakthroughs happen in the presence of God. Open up your heart, seek Him, and worship Him. If possible, join with others who want to worship Him too. The Father longs for you to know Him and experience His presence.
Prayer for today: Dear Father, thank You for the privilege that we can come into Your presence. I pray that You would help me to come into Your presence and that You would meet me there. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
