The Power of Weakness
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”. 2 Corinthians 12:9
We all have moments of human frailty and weakness, distress and difficulties, struggles and tribulation, but it’s in those moments when we’re at our weakest and most vulnerable point, we can draw on God’s strength.
Instead of seeing your weakness as a limitation, see it through the lens of God. It is God’s power which works within us that enables us to stand strong in the Lord and to walk through it with Him. He doesn’t take the weaknesses or struggles away, but He strengthens us with His power and might, so we can go through it in His strength and with complete peace—we will then come out the other side victorious.
God’s Word tells us that He works in our weakness. Read: 2 Corinthians 12:7-10.
This week do not pray for God to take it away, instead pray for His strength and power to endure it and to be able to stand strong in the midst of whatever life throws at us.
I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.] – Philippians 4:13 (AMP)
