The Lord’s Peace
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you His peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all. 2 Thessalonians 3:16
For so many people around the world, 2020 was a difficult year, even a tragic one and we have no idea what the new year will bring. Dr. David Jeremiah reminds us of the one thing we do know despite all that happened in 2020, in every situation we faced our Savior was with us.
As we crossover into the new year, may you find peace in God’s Word. Reminding yourself of its truth over and over again. Start with today’s verse, paraphrase 2 Thessalonians 3:16 as an earnest prayer: Lord, may You, the Lord of peace, give me Your peace at all times and in every situation.
How about the words written by Paul in Philippians 4:6-7: Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
And the peace of God, will guard your hearts every day, every hour, every circumstances, every location, every need, every fear, every joy, every opportunity, every step. He is more present than you know, and more powerful than you can possibly conceive. God was with you in 2020 and He shall be with you in 2021. Our times are in His hands.
