Happy Arrival
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
Christmas for me doesn’t just represent the colors, the gifts, the tree for me, it’s so much more. The Christmas season represents hope. Isaiah 9:6 offers us a glimpse of this hope, it is like a bright thread in a beautiful picture. It’s full of hope and joy. This verse talks about a special baby who comes to us with a big present — Himself!
We need a God who is our hope — wrapped in swaddling clothes, incarnate, a child, a ruler, a righteous judge, a shot of the branch of Jesse, Alpha and Omega, Yeshua, Savior, the Blessed Hope.
It’s the happiest arrival. Just picture it — a baby born, a gift given. This isn’t an ordinary baby; it’s the start of hope coming to life. The God of Hope shows up in the form of a tiny baby. The promise that people waited for a long time is now real, like a little baby wrapped up snug.
In a world where things can be unsure, this baby is like our anchor in a big storm. The God of Hope becomes the most important part of what we believe. The promises that start in a little bed go all the way to a big cross, making a future full of hope.
