The Gift of God   

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 6:23

Most of us have seen how long we can hold our breath underwater – but Budimir Šobat of Croatia, he holds the title. Earlier this year in March, he broke the record for the longest time a male can voluntarily hold breath underwater, a staggering time of 24 minutes 37. Did you read that? Just over 24 minutes, he was able to sustain life without fresh air. There are many things that man can do on his own, but getting into heaven is not one of them. This access was granted through the life and sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Many people try to live good enough to gain access into heaven, but Dr. David Jeremiah reminds us there is nothing we can do because man is ‘too flawed, too sinful, and too imperfect for God’s presence’.
