Surrender All

Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. Psalm 37:5

 In 1986, Judson W. Van De Venter penned the words to the famous hymn ‘All to Jesus I surrender’. The first verse goes like this:

All to Jesus I surrender

All to Him I freely give

I will ever love and trust Him

In His presence daily live…

This song reminds me of God’s Word in Psalm 37:5. It says, “Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him to help you do it and He will.” God wants to be partners with us in all our daily tasks and activities. All we need to do is surrender it all to Him. When we invite God on the scene, an unlimited amount of resources are made available to us.

It delights the heart of God when we say, “Lord, without You, I can do nothing. I surrender all to You, please help me.”

In this season of life, I find myself praying this more and more with each day. I surrender all to You Lord. And as a result, I am discovering a renewed strength, peace, and confidence that enabled me to persevere and complete the task with joy.

I surrender all’

Prayer for today: Dear God, I surrender all. All my cares, my worries, my fears, the unknown. Father, I surrender all. Enable me to depend on You more and more. Amen.
