Strength in Numbers
A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12
The Father, His Sons, and the Bundle of Sticks is an Aesop fable that drives home the message of unity. We do not do well when we are alone for a long period of time, and having friends and family alongside us through life’s journey makes the trip more enjoyable and successful. This is a fundamental truth of the fable as it is of the world around us and can be found in Ecclesiastes 4:9–12.
It just absolutely blows my mind how God can completely use us in the most insane ways when we are “all in” for him! When we have a strong passion to glorify Him in everything that we do and we put all our trust in what He has for us, we are unstoppable. There is strength in numbers. There is strength in friendships built upon Christ. Your words mean something, and the people and goals God has set upon your heart mean something.
Get together with your brothers and sisters. Pray for one another, encourage each other, worship radically together, don’t hold back. Be unified and don’t waste your opportunity to make a mark together. Change lives through God’s power, because we are the move of God.
Human beings were created to live in community, so we are stronger together than when we are apart. As we build community and fellowship, we all grow stronger and more faithful to God.
“I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.” (1 Corinthians 1:10, ESV)
Prayer for today: Loving Father, we declare that we will love You with all our hearts, souls, minds and strength. Guide us in ways to encourage and build each other up as we continue to live for You. Amen
