Singing To God Be the Glory
Come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come to him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to hill. Psalm 95:1-2
To God Be the Glory, is a phrase I say in response to anyone giving me the accolades for what I know goes only to God. I say this not because I am good or better than anyone else, I say this because I want to recognize God as the giver of all that is good. I want my life to glorify His name. For this reason, I resonate with the song writer Fanny Crosby as she declares “To God be the glory, great things He hath done; so loved He the world that He gave us His Son. Who yielded His life an atonement for sin, and opened the life gate that all may go in. ” This hymn calls us to give God all the glory and praise for His marvelous works and His incredible love
Singing “To God Be the Glory” reminds us to attribute all honor and praise to God, recognizing His hand in every good thing in our lives. It’s a call to worship and exalt the Lord for His mighty deeds.
Consider the great things God has done in your life and in the world around you. How can you give Him the glory and praise He deserves? Let this hymn inspire you to live a life that honors and exalts God.
“To God Be the Glory” is a hymn of praise that celebrates the great things God has done. May we always see past the hardships and distractions of our life. May we always focus on the grace of our God.
Prayer for today: Glorious God, we give You all the praise and honor for the great things You have done. As we sing “To God Be the Glory,” fill our hearts with a deep sense of gratitude and worship. May our lives reflect Your glory and bring honor to Your name. Amen.
