Shielded by Faith
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12
One thing every follower of Christ will encounter is spiritual warfare. The enemy rarely attacks where we are already strong and established. Instead, he targets the areas where we are still growing, healing, and learning to trust God. He seeks to exploit our weaknesses, stir up fear, and discourage our faith.
This is why we must continually run to God. He has not left us defenseless. In Ephesians 6:16, we are instructed to take up the shield of faith, a spiritual protection that extinguishes the enemy’s fiery arrows. Whether those attacks come against us spiritually, physically, emotionally, or financially, God calls us to respond with faith rather than fear.
Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, thank You for being my refuge and strength. When the enemy attacks, help me to run to You and lift up the shield of faith. Amen.
