Shaped by the Living Word
For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Hebrews 4:12
As you continue into this new year, remember that God’s Word is not static or outdated, it is living and powerful. Scripture has the ability to reach places nothing else can. It reveals motives, corrects attitudes, realigns priorities, and cuts through confusion. God’s Word doesn’t merely inform us; it transforms us.
When we allow Scripture to shape our thoughts and decisions, it brings clarity and truth. It exposes what needs to change and affirms what God is already doing within us. Growth happens when we listen, but transformation occurs when we respond.
God desires to speak to you daily through His Word. Making room for Scripture is making room for His voice, His wisdom, and His direction.
Consider today: Am I intentionally creating space in my schedule to hear God speak through His Word?
Prayer for today: Lord, let Your Word search my heart and shape my life. Make it alive and active within me this year. Give me a hunger for Your truth and a willingness to respond in obedience. Amen.
