Safe Place
Your life is now hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 3:3
Nowadays, the media outlets are full of bad news. The issues are scandals, corruption, and terror in different parts of the world. When I hear of these things, I wonder how those who are living without the Light (Christ Jesus) do it. If we who are exposed to the Light sometimes have difficult days, what of those who are not? Where or who do they turn to?
The good news is that there is a safe place to turn to. Today’s Scripture reminds us that, if we’re in Christ, we can be assured of His security, and thus continue to live with a sense of safety in the midst of all the insecurities and uncertainties of our world today. I stand as a living testimony to this verse, If not for the loving arms of my Savior, I would have surely crumbled long time ago. My life is hidden with Christ in God. This is as safe as one can ever get. Yes, our nations and the world may be in turmoil and uncertainties, but we can be assured of our security in God. Yes, our mortal bodies may be in danger and will – soon or eventually – die, but our real life is hidden with Christ in God.
This is the hope that we must share with the world. This is the Good News the world is dying to hear. This is the assurance that we people of God must communicate to the hurting and confused world.
Why don’t you share this with someone today – Feeling burned out? There is a safe place, in Christ, the Prince of Peace. It’s not just safe, but the safest place in the whole universe!
