Rise Again
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. Isaiah 43:2
Donnie McClurkin’s powerful song, “We Fall Down,” resonates with a truth that many of us have experienced firsthand: we stumble and fall, but with God’s grace, we rise again. As believers, we sometimes mistakenly assume that our faith will shield us from the trials and tribulations of life. However, the reality is that we live in a broken world, and pain and hardship are inevitable parts of the human experience.
But here’s the beautiful truth: it’s not about the fall itself, but about what happens afterward. It’s about the strength and resilience we find as we pick ourselves up and keep moving forward. In those moments of weakness, God is right there beside us, offering His hand to lift us up and His strength to sustain us.
Isaiah 43 reminds us of God’s unwavering presence in our lives. He knows us intimately, and He promises to walk with us through every trial and challenge we face. So, when we find ourselves in the midst of adversity, we can take comfort in the knowledge that we are not alone. We can look back on past struggles and see how God carried us through, strengthening our faith and deepening our trust in Him.
Today, let’s hold fast to the promise that God is always with us, guiding us through the highs and lows of life. Let’s draw strength from His presence and His faithfulness, knowing that He will never leave us nor forsake us. And as we face each new challenge, let’s do so with confidence, knowing that God has our back every step of the way.
Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your constant presence in my life. When I stumble and fall, help me to remember that You are right there beside me, ready to lift me up and carry me through. Strengthen my faith and fill me with Your peace, knowing that You are with me always. Amen.
