Receive God’s Strength
Come unto me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
When Jesus says, “Come unto me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28), He isn’t just offering us a temporary reprieve from our troubles; He’s offering us His strength to face whatever lies ahead. He invites us to exchange the worry for worship. He is inviting us to exchange our weakness for His strength, our weariness for His vitality. Jesus offers us His strength and power to help us overcome whatever obstacles we may encounter.
When we come to Jesus in our weakness, He doesn’t just sympathize with us; He empowers us. He infuses us with His Spirit, giving us the courage and resilience we need to persevere. His strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9), and His power is made manifest in our lives.
Today, if you’re feeling overwhelmed by the challenges you’re facing, come to Jesus. Surrender your struggles to Him, and allow His strength to sustain you. Receive His grace and mercy, knowing that He is able to carry you through whatever you’re going through. With His strength, you can face anything that comes your way.
Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, thank You for the promise that Your strength is made perfect in our weakness. Today, we come to You with our burdens and struggles, asking for Your strength to sustain us. Fill us with Your power and grace, and help us to overcome whatever obstacles we may face. In Jesus’ name, amen.
