Rebuilding
In that day, Israel, your cities will be rebuilt, and your borders will be extended. Micah 7:11
Remember this: God is a Redeemer. He can take what looks like a pile of rubble and begin rebuilding. He can restore what seems impossible to restore. He can make a way where you cannot see one. God sees beyond the mess, beyond the mistakes, beyond the disappointment, and beyond the circumstances that have left you wondering what could possibly happen next. Just as God looked beyond the devastation of Micah’s day and saw a future of rebuilding, He can see beyond what you are facing today. Maybe you are praying for someone going through a difficult season. Perhaps you are dealing with your own personal devastation. Maybe something in your life feels broken, lost, or beyond repair.
The rebuilding may not happen overnight. There may be work to do. There may be lessons to learn, consequences to face, and steps of obedience to take. But don’t give up simply because you cannot see the finished work yet. God can already see what you are still waiting to see. So today, put your hand afresh into His hand. Trust Him with your broken places. Trust Him with your family. Trust Him with your future. Trust Him with the things you cannot fix on your own.
The walls may be down today, but that does not mean they will always stay down. God is still building. Our mistakes may have consequences, but our failures do not change the character of God. He remains faithful. He remains merciful. He still loves His people, even when they make mistakes and have to face the consequences of their choices.
God is still working. And with Him, there can always be a new day of rebuilding.
Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, thank You that You are a God of restoration and redemption. When I look at my circumstances, help me see beyond what is broken and trust You for what can be rebuilt. Give me patience when the process takes longer than I expected and faith when I cannot yet see the finished work. Help me to learn from my mistakes, trust Your Word, and place my life completely back into Your hands. Remind me that You see what I cannot see and that Your plans are greater than my present circumstances. Lord, rebuild the places in my life that have been broken. Restore what needs to be restored, strengthen what has become weak, and give me hope for a new day. I trust You with the rebuilding. Amen
