Perfectly Loved, Part II
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” I John 3:1
Because of Jesus Christ, we are not defined by our shortcomings but by His grace. His sacrifice on the cross covered our sin, removed our guilt, and opened the way for us to become children of God. We don’t have to strive to be worthy of His love; we simply receive the love He has already poured out for us.
When God’s perfect love fills the empty places in our hearts, something remarkable happens. Shame begins to lose its grip. Fear gives way to peace. Our failures no longer define us because His grace does.
Today, stop striving to fill your heart with things that can never satisfy. Instead, rest in the truth that you are perfectly loved by a perfect Savior. His love is enough to heal what is broken, strengthen what is weak, and satisfy the deepest longing of your soul.
Prayer for today: Loving Father, help me to stop looking to the world for what only You can give. Remind me today that I am Your child, forgiven through Jesus Christ, and perfectly loved. Let Your love overflow from my life into the lives of others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
