Our Guide
The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. Isaiah 58:11
Each morning you open your eyes, you are standing on the brink of a new beginning. Each day presents us with an obstacle or challenge and with each one, it is difficult to remain optimistic. Sometimes it is not the baggage we carry, but the path ahead that stirs up discouragement in our souls. When we are in a desert experience, the New Year may not feel like a new beginning at all.
Today, regardless of what the New Year holds for you, God’s companionship will never forsake you. We are daily encouraged by God’s word in His protection of those whom He loves. In Scripture God sustains His people through the darkest of times: deserts, betrayal, fire, failure, deep waters, loss, and grief.
God is and has always been our greatest asset. Do not lose hope in the New Year. He changes situations and the hearts of people in an instant. When we are stuck and afraid, He offers strength. Begin by asking Him how to pray for the New Year, and to open your eyes to His endless possibilities.
