Natures beauty
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. Psalm 19:1,2
There is no better way to start each day than with thanksgiving and praise. When we cultivate a heart of thanksgiving and praise we are acknowledging the awesomeness of God in all creation. You see what when we look up – the heavens, the skies, the firmament, all of that is the splendor of our great God.
In autumn, the leaves eventually turn brilliant hues of crimson, golds, reds and oranges, offering us a wonderful spectacle to behold, a brush stroke of genius only God can artfully paint. This is just one of His beautiful creations. Then, those leaves must fall, leaving that beautiful tree bare and vulnerable as it must survive the harshest of seasons. The tree must go through that season to begin a new life, a new cycle, with budding blossoms fragrant and beautiful.
We can use the seasons as an example as to why we should be incessantly grateful and thank God continually even when our future seems very unclear. No matter the season we can cultivate a spirit of thanksgiving and praise. Just like the trees we can stay firmly planted in faith.
Today take a look around and appreciate God through nature. Meditate a few minutes on the beauty of creation and the care God took in creating it. All of creation declares just how glorious and good God is! Praise Him all today, give Him thanks today for His goodness!
