My Hope Comes From The Father
Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from Him. Psalm 62:5
At the end of Tasha Cobbs Leonard’s song Smile, she sings:
“You won’t let me down.
You won’t break my heart.
You won’t let me fall,
So I give it to You.”
This part of the song always brings peace to my heart because there is one thing I know for sure: God has never let me down, and He never will. Through every season, I have discovered that the strength and energy I need to continue this journey are found in God alone. There are moments when I feel tired, uncertain, or overwhelmed, but when I place my hope in Him, I find the strength to keep going.
Hope is the confident expectation that something better is possible, even when you cannot see it yet. Tomorrow is always ahead of us. It represents what we cannot see, what we cannot control, and what has not yet happened. So, as you look toward the days ahead, don’t allow what you see today to determine what you believe about tomorrow. Place your hope in God. He is the One who is able to keep you from falling. He sees what you cannot see. He knows what you do not know. He holds tomorrow in His hands.
Your situation may look upside down right now, but God is still working.
Your finances may not make sense, but God is still faithful.
Your health may have you concerned, but God is still God.
Your relationship may be broken, but God is still able to restore.
You may not know how the story will end, but you can trust the One who holds the story.
Prayer for today: Loving Father, today, I choose to place my hope in You. When I am tempted to put my confidence in what I see, remind me that You are greater than my circumstances. Give me the strength to keep going when I am tired and the faith to keep believing when I cannot see the outcome. Help me to trust You with my health, my finances, my relationships, my future, and every promise You have made. My hope comes from You. So I give it to You. In Jesus’ name, amen!
