Muscle Atrophy
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. John 14:12
Muscle atrophy is the wasting or thinning of muscle mass. It can be caused by disuse of your muscles or neurogenic conditions. This means a perfectly good leg will eventually stop working if it’s not used. Insane isn’t it! Yet this is what we do as followers of Christ when we are not tapping into our full potential.
Jesus did some pretty dang amazing things on this earth in front of the disciples, then he looked at them and said in John 14: 12-14 – “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!”
If He can do it, then we can do it!
Like a perfectly good leg going unused loses its ability to function, our ability to fully step into our God given potential and power is diminished when we don’t step up and use it.
Verse 14 says ‘ask me…’ Jesus tells us to ask Him. Have you been asking? Don’t waste what you have been given here. There are impossible things in your midst which God has already declared as possible if you will pray over it in faith.
Unleash the power of prayer in your life, within you is the power of a living God who redeems, restores and renews. No more atrophy in your life. No more wasting and withering away because of untapped potential. Nope, we’re showing up and we’re using it all.
We can do better, we know we can, and today, we will do better.
Prayer for today: Lord, I thank You for showing me the way. I believe I am strong and mighty, because You said so! By the power of God, I am more than a conqueror. I shall not be beaten down because my God is mighty, therefore, I am mighty. Today, I shall be revealed mighty, people will see God in me. Amen.
