Meditating With Purpose
O how I love thy law! It is my meditation all the day. Psalm 119:97
The believer’s walk is a relationship, and like any relationship, it grows through time spent together. To know God is not a one-time moment it is a daily pursuit of His presence, His voice, and His heart. But what does it really look like to “know” God in everyday life? It begins with intentional time spent with Him.
Knowing God does not happen by accident. Faith is not just something we declare and move on from, it is a living relationship that involves communication, listening, trust, and growth. Just like any meaningful relationship, it requires time and commitment.
Consider these three “P’s” for your quiet time:
Prioritize a time. Don’t give God your leftovers. Make time for Him. It is best to seek Him early in the day before distractions take over.
Prepare your heart. Come expecting to meet with God. Be still and aware that He is present.
Find a place. Choose a quiet space where you can focus and be uninterrupted, even if only for a few minutes.
As you do this consistently, your relationship with God will deepen, and His Word will become the anchor of your day.
Prayer for Today: Lord, teach me to value time with You above everything else. Help me to seek You daily with a prepared heart and a willing spirit. Amen.
