Lazarus – From Grave to Glory
Lazarus, come out! – John 11:43, NIV
Lazarus had been dead four days.
In the Gospel of John 11, his story seemed finished. The stone was sealed. Hope was buried.
His flaw? None recorded.
His mess? A situation that looked irreversible.
But Jesus intentionally delayed. Not to deny but to display glory.
The theme of life predominates. Lazarus is a token of the real life that Jesus dead and raised will give to all who believe in him. When Jesus called his name, death released its grip.
Sometimes what feels final is simply waiting for divine timing.
In this Year of Purpose, areas of your life that seem buried can still respond to God’s voice.
The grave is not stronger than the calling.
Prayer for today: Jesus, speak into the dead places of my life. Where dreams feel buried, call them forth. Remove every stone of doubt and unbelief. Breathe new life into what seems beyond hope. I believe that Your voice still brings resurrection. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
