Just Imagine
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1Thessalonians 5:16-18
In the United States, the fourth Thursday in November is celebrated as Thanksgiving Day. But what if, as God’s people, we made this entire month a season of praise and gratitude?
As we enter this first week of the month of thanksgiving, let us:
Rejoice always, giving God praise and not complaint
Offer adoration and not agitation
Choose worship over worry
I’m inviting you to join me in gaining strength through praise and thanksgiving this November.
For the next 30 days, let’s join together with hearts overflowing in thanksgiving and praise to our Almighty God.
Our focus for the month comes from 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18: “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
The goal is simple yet vitally important: Let’s encourage someone to praise with a heart of thanksgiving instead of complaining. Instead of drowning in the struggles of today, let’s live with hope for tomorrow.
Prayer for today: Father, as we begin these days of praise and thanksgiving, we ask for Your wisdom. Teach us how to pray more effectively so that we may cultivate an atmosphere filled with gratitude and worship. Prepare our hearts to receive all that You desire to do in and through Your people. Thank You for hearing this prayer, and thank You for everyone joining in. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
