Joy in the Midst of Trials, Part II

Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James 1:4

Luke 1:46-47 says “My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior”. Mary pondered, trusted and she understood the assignment. This Christmas season, you may find yourself in a season of trial or uncertainty. Like Mary, you can choose to trust that God is working all things together for good. Joy isn’t found in perfect circumstances—it’s found in trusting the perfect plan of a loving God.

As we head into the season where we celebrate the birth of Jesus, remember that He is the ultimate gift of hope and joy. The trials you face today are preparing you for the blessings God has in store. Just as Mary’s perseverance brought forth the Savior, your perseverance can lead to new life and purpose in Christ.

Prayer for today: Father, thank You for Your Word which continues to be a light in this dark world. This Christmas, may I carry Your light with perseverance and faith, sharing Your love with those around me. Amen.
