Jesus’ Crucifixion
When they came to the place called the Skull, they crucified him there, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left. Luke 23:33
Today is Good Friday, and on this day we remember the agonizing crucifixion of Jesus Christ. He endured unimaginable suffering and humiliation, willingly laying down His life for the sake of humanity. As we contemplate the brutality of the cross, let’s never forget the immense love that compelled Jesus to endure such pain on our behalf. Let’s bow our heads in reverence and gratitude for His sacrificial love.
Golgotha, the place of the skull, is the name of the place where our Savior Christ Jesus was crucified. The events of Good Friday are sobering and poignant, reminding us of the immense cost of our redemption. Jesus endured unimaginable suffering and humiliation on the cross, bearing the weight of our sins in His body. As we contemplate the crucifixion, may we never forget the depth of Jesus’ love for us and the price He paid to secure our salvation. Let’s pause to meditate on the cross and express our heartfelt gratitude to Jesus for His sacrificial love.
Prayer for today: Merciful Savior, as we behold the cross, we are humbled by the enormity of your sacrifice for us. Thank you for willingly laying down your life to reconcile us to the Father. May we never take for granted the price you paid for our salvation. Help us to live in light of your sacrifice, offering our lives as living sacrifices in service to you. Amen.
