Hopeful Through Prayer
Hopeful Through Prayer
Friday, September 16
For in this hope we are saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. Romans 8:24-25
The believers hope is the assurance that, when God leads you to pray, He’ll make something visible which you can’t see now. The believers hope comes from communication with the Father. When we pray, the Holy Spirit equips us (reminds us) of His peace which gives us the strength to hold ON against all the odds, because hope gives rise to faith. Christian hope means that, when God has promised something, you put your trust in that promise. We have this hope in God.
Prayer is a two-way conversation. Talking with God. To pray then is to speak with God as one would a friend. You surely have needs, fears, and joys. Through a simple prayer, and of your own accord, thank God for the joy of living He is giving you. Thank Him for your good health, the people in your life, and for His provision. Let God know of your fears and everything that hurts you and breaks your heart. Pour out your tears before God, and He will comfort you. He will bless you and give you peace even in times of trouble.
Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of prayer. In times of joy or distress I know that You are only one call away. Amen
