Holding On to Peace in the Battle, Part II
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27
John 14:27 says “do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” Here Jesus is encouraging us to hold onto peace. We have the kind of peace that can’t be taken from you unless you let go of it. Today, no matter what the enemy throws your way, you can choose to hold on to peace. It’s not denial of the struggle—it’s defiant faith in the One who has already overcome the world.
You may be praying for peace in your home, peace in your body, peace in your relationships, peace in your mind. Keep praying. But while you wait, don’t miss the peace He’s already given you. Let gratitude be the doorway to deeper rest. Peace isn’t just coming—it’s already here.
Prayer for today: Dear God, when the enemy tries to bring fear, confusion, or discouragement, remind me that Your peace is stronger. Teach me to praise You for the peace I have, even as I pray for more. Let Your peace guard my heart and my mind. I choose to trust You in the midst of everything I face today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
