Happy New Year 2026
You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You. Isaiah 26:3
Life has a way of pulling us apart. We often live in pieces, trying to hold everything together by our own strength. But God offers something radically different: perfect peace. This peace is not the absence of trouble; it is the presence of God holding us together in the midst of it. Isaiah reminds us that peace is not something we manufacture it is something God keeps us in.
The key is our focus. When our minds are fixed on our circumstances, fear grows. When our thoughts rest on outcomes we cannot control, anxiety takes root. But when we look to Him steadfast, trusting, anchored God gathers the fragments of our hearts and makes us whole. He does not merely calm us; He keeps us.
On this first day of a new year, I invite you to keep your focus on God. Perfect peace does not mean a perfect life. It means a heart aligned with a faithful God. As we choose to turn our eyes from what is breaking us and lift them to the One who holds all things together, we discover that we are no longer falling apart. We are being held.
Prayer for today: Lord, gather my wandering thoughts and anchor my heart in You. Help me fix my mind on who You are rather than what I fear. Thank You for keeping me in perfect peace—not broken, but whole, as I trust in You. Amen.
