Guidance in Times of Uncertainty
I will bless the Lord who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me. Psalm 16:7
David calls the Lord’s counsel “his guide.” In close fellowship with the Lord David received guidance from God. The Lord told him what to do and what to avoid. Even during many nights, the Lord instructed David. In response to that help, David blessed the Lord. To “bless” here means to speak well of.

God is not only our refuge and strength but also our guide. The psalmist acknowledges that God provides wisdom and direction in every moment, even in the quiet of the night. When we seek God’s guidance, He speaks to our hearts, leading us on the path of righteousness.
Prayer for today: Dear Lord, thank You for Your guidance in my life. When I face decisions, help me to listen to Your voice and trust that You will lead me in the right direction. Amen.
