Go in His Grace
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.. Ephesians 1:2
It is by God’s love, His mercy, and His grace, that I am reconciled into the family of God. Through this reconciliation I call Him Father and am now His child. So, if you squeeze me hard, what comes out of me should be God’s grace. When things go wrong, my response should show God’s grace. When my peace is challenged, my ship is rocking, when the wind gets knocked out of me again my response should be grace. And if you hurt me, it should be grace that you experience being released from me, even as I feel hurt from what you have done or said.
This is what Paul says, in his same letter: ‘Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.’ (Ephesians 5:1-2).
When we respond with grace, we are as Paul says following God. Look at His amazing sensitivity to the poor, the needy, the sinful and the hurting. To each one, He came with loving Holy Spirit perception and an absolutely pure, all-embracing, totally accepting, welcoming love.
