Fulfilling your Purpose and Destiny – 3
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them….Romans 8:6
Excuses, excuses, you hear them every day. Now, the devil, he’ll supply them, if you are looking for a way out. See the mind is crafty that way. But God isn’t looking for an excuse, He is looking for obedience. God wants us to look to Him in what seems impossible.
God always seems to call us to do a job which is too big for us. Why is that? It’s so you’ll never forget where your strength comes from. Destinies are not listed in the ‘vacant’ column in the daily paper or in more modern times let me say on Craigslist. When it comes to the kingdom of God you don’t volunteer, you respond! God seems to persistently nudge you forward. But when you know you’re in the center of God’s purpose and will for your life, you experience a lasting pleasure that simply can’t be found anywhere else. There is fulfillment in following God’s instruction.
Is there something getting in the way of you walking in your destiny? If so you need to identify it and pray about it. Ask God to show you His direction in this area and understand His calling is not an easy one. The early disciples simply left their nets to follow Jesus. I cannot imagine that it was easy for them to do however, who can turn away from the calling of God.
Prayer for today: Jesus, I acknowledge that my life is caught up in a spiritual war between your destiny for my life and the enemy’s schemes. I choose You and in doing so I must walk through the valley of the shadow of death. Help me to do whatever I have to do to put You first. I love You and I want to serve You and have You at the center of my life. Amen.
