Friday Thanks

In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

We all can agree that it is easy to give thanks when life is good. But when life has dealt us a bad hand, finding the words to say ‘Thank You’ can be a challenge. But here is something we need to remember: “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

Today I find courage in the words of Joseph in Genesis 50 verse 20 “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good”. Trust the process. What may seem as a bad thing today might in turn be a good thing for tomorrow or down the road. In your growing season, continue to give thanks.

Prayer for today: God, I thank You! I do not say it daily, I do not always say it weekly, but today, the day after Thanksgiving, I want to give you honor, thanksgiving and praise! Amen.
