Finding Shelter in His Wings
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1Thessalonians 5:16-18
Regardless of the battles we face, there are moments when life feels overwhelming. Yet, even in the midst of trials, we serve a God who is greater than any challenge we encounter.
Take time in your quiet moment today to turn to Psalm 37 and meditate on verses 23 and 24. Read slowly, take notes, and underline key words. Let God speak to your heart as you reflect on His promise: He is our guide, our strength, and our sustainer.
“The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.” — Psalm 37:23-24
We are called to trust in Him and continue to do good, even when weariness tempts us to pause. Delight in the Lord, even when it feels difficult, and continue drawing near to Him. As we do, we find shelter in the shadow of His wings, a place of protection, peace, and restoration. He promises to sustain us through every season, every trial, and every overwhelming moment.
Be encouraged this morning as you give thanks for the protection of His wings. Invite the Lord to help you be still in His presence, to wait patiently, and to trust in His timing. Even the smallest act of delight and gratitude strengthens your heart and draws you closer to His sustaining power.
Prayer for today: Loving Father, thank You for the shelter of Your wings and the promise of Your sustaining presence. Help me to delight in You, even when I feel weary or overwhelmed. Teach me to trust You fully, to continue doing good, and to wait patiently in Your presence. May my heart find rest in Your care, and may gratitude flow continually from my soul. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
