Finding Peace in Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalm 23:1
Many believers have committed to memory Psalm 23. It is a Psalm that will give you strength and encourage you in a difficult situation. It’s a Psalm that cannot be exhausted. But have you ever read it in other Bible Versions? Let’s look at verse 1 using The Message translation, it says “God, my shepherd! I don’t need a thing.” What an awesome promise we have in our Savior today. If we start our days with God then we will not be in want or lacking anything in any area of our lives. Jesus Christ gives you life and the joy therein. As long as we have Jesus, we have all we need in life and we will lack nothing.
God’s provision isn’t just about physical sustenance; it’s about a deeper sense of contentment that comes from trusting that He knows what we truly need. When we follow His leading, we find that everything we need is already provided in Him.
Prayer for today: Lord, help us to rest in Your care, trusting that You are our Shepherd, and that You will provide, guide, and protect us each day. May Your goodness and mercy follow us always, and may we dwell in Your presence now and forever. Amen
