Even you

Even you
It was by faith that Rahab the prostitute was not destroyed with the people in her city who refused to obey God. For she had given a friendly welcome to the spies. Hebrews 11:31
Rahab, we know her as the prostitute. Rahab the harlot. But, do we know Rahab the woman of faith. Hebrews 11:31 records Rahab as a part of the Great Hall of Faith. It says “By faith Rahab the harlot did not perish along with those who were disobedient after she had welcomed the spies in peace.”
You see her internal life, what she was known for; the person we still remember her as but, God sees her internally for the heart of faith she possessed.
She was ordered by the king of Jericho to bring out the spies sent by Joshua. She provided protection for them by saying they had gone out secretly, that the king should go after them. You see, Rahab knew the art of keeping secrets by virtue of her occupation. “God will take what Satan meant for evil and turn it out for your good and His glory.”
God put it in Rahab’s heart to know that the Lord meant for Joshua and those of Israel to inhabit this land. All of Jericho knew how the Lord dried up the Red Sea as He delivered them from Egypt. Rahab provided protection for this men believing in something that she was not and in doing so she was recorded as a great woman of faith. You see, Rahab recognized internally the eternal difference in these men. She revered the God of these spies.
You can do nothing so bad that God will not forgive you and use you greatly. Your past is forgiven. God will remove your sins from you as far as the east is from the west and remember it no more. Are you willing to be used by God?
Prayer for today: Lord, may I receive the freedom of Your love. It is by faith I have been changed. I love You Lord with all of my heart, soul, mind and strength! In Jesus Name. Amen.
