Enduring Through Adversity
Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later. Romans 8:18
It is a fact in this life, you and I will encounter pain. Yet, God does not ask us to pretend that these challenges are pleasant experiences. Instead, He calls us to acknowledge the reality of our earthly struggles while also keeping our focus on the promise of heavenly glory. As followers of Christ, we are called to view our weaknesses through the lens of faith, recognizing that God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness.
Just as a runner keeps their eyes fixed on the finish line, we are called to fix our gaze on the eternal glory that awaits us. When we view our earthly trials in light of God’s promises, our perspective shifts. The pain we endure becomes temporary, fleeting in comparison to the everlasting joy that awaits us in eternity.
Let us take comfort in knowing that God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). As we face adversity, may we find solace in the assurance of God’s presence and the hope of the glory to come.
Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, grant us Your peace while we wait. Trusting in Your plans while relying on Your strength. Amen
