Elevate Hope
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Hebrews 11:6
Hope is a word that resonates with all of us. It’s one of the three pillars of endurance mentioned in 1 Corinthians 13:13: “faith, hope, and love.” In the face of adversity or uncertainty, hope is the fuel that keeps our spirits afloat. When we live in a sea of hope, even the darkest times hold the promise of something refreshing. Hope is the confident anticipation of something good, a universal inspiration that transcends barriers. Whether we are stumbling toward the finish line or setting sail on a new journey, our inner selves urge us to believe. It’s an unwavering sense that today is not the day to give up, that something good is about to happen if we just hold on. Hope is a belief that something good is about to happen at any moment, I just need to hang on!
In fact, God’s Word tells us it is one of three things to hold onto when all else fails (just read 1 Corinthians 13:13 … “faith, hope, and love”). So, keep on believing, keep on trusting, and keep hope alive. The key is to place your hope in an unshakable foundation, which is God. Your hope is only as strong as the source in which you anchor it. As Joyce Meyer wisely puts it, “Without hope in God, there isn’t much you can do, but with hope in God, there isn’t much you can’t do.”
In a world where hope can seem elusive at times, remember that your faith in God can ignite and sustain the flame of hope within you. Let your hope be a beacon that guides you through life’s challenges and uncertainties. Embrace the truth that God is not only the source of hope but also the ultimate rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. With hope firmly anchored in Him, there are no limits to what you can achieve.
Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, we thank You for being the source of our hope and the foundation of our faith. In moments of doubt and difficulty, help us to keep our hope alive by trusting in You. May we remember that with hope in You, there is no obstacle we cannot overcome. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
